A student handed in work a few hours after the end of class. I reviewed it and updated her course grade. I see no evidence of the anarchy claimed by the advocates for “strict deadlines.” Sure, I was no longer getting paid, but I probably would have just wasted the time anyways.
@garyackerman When I was a student, my life was occasionally a storm of chaos. Usually due to forces beyond by control. Class and family of origin issues can turn on hard mode even for white males. Everyone has invisible struggles.
I got lots of second chances. Anybody who says they didn't is in the grip of an inhuman ideology.
Ask, and ye shall receive.
It costs very little to be kind.
