Zoom client for Linux is so poorly written that even the web version running in Chrome is more responsive, it also doesn't crash or hang.
Running Zoom through Chrome also allows screen sharing under Sway.

I think the web version is fine with respect to privacy, there's no way their spyware escapes out of Chrome.
@gnull I am guessing you need Zoom for work. But I would not recommend it. Zoom has terrible security and a bunch of Spyware on it.
