In a new article, we write about how the phenomenon of #weeds acquiring #herbicide #resistance can lead to positive effects when these weeds are plants of #phytomedical importance and important in #food #technology.

#Cornflower is such a plant, and its herbicide-resistant biotypes have much higher levels of #polyphenols, #flavonoids and free radical scavenging activities - i.e. better #health-promoting properties than herbicide-sensitive biotypes
