I've just locked my Twitter account in an attempt to slowly wind it down.
@confusedbunny it's too optimised for negative engagement. A bit like Tiktok it became too much of a time waster for me.
@gpowerf I only ever access via a 3rd party app except on rare occasions, so I think I missed most of "the algorithm". Normally I just saw people I followed, in chronological order - as it should be! This place doesn't feel too dissimilar, especially now nearly everybody has migrated over. 🐦 looks quite deserted. I've locked my account now too. I'm not intending to close it yet, but can't see it getting much use.
@gpowerf The latest rumor is that Man-child Chucklehead is going to be paywalling Twitter.
@gpowerf Seeing people saying he'd never do it, as if the captain of the ship isn't drunk at the wheel.
Nothing would surprise me at this point.
