I've gone deep into the gyro aiming thing and started playing both Halo and Splitgate with the gyro fully turned on all the time. WOW! Just wow! This is the future really, it is a much better way to play FPS games on a controller.
Microsoft really has to support this officially on Xbox, as things stand getting the game on PS5, Switch, or Steam Deck is much more tempting just for native gyro support alone.
