This might be an unpopular opinion, but after owning a for a little while it is mostly a console. really is a distro that’s close to totally gaming centric.

@gpowerf only because that is how you use it. Pop over into the DE more. It’s just a regular computer with some extra spice.

@gpowerf I think I agree. It can fill in for a laptop in a pinch - and I’ve used it that way - but as a desktop replacement, it’s got a bit of a ways to go.

@gpowerf I genuinely don't know who's out there using Steam Decks and other handheld Windows machines as PCs, buying docks for that purpose and whatnot.

It seems like the weirdest possible way to avoid buying a laptop.

I guess maybe people need to justify the purchase to themselves? Or maybe thinking about it this way makes the Linux ecosystem seem more mainstream and they like that? It's mostly just confusing.
