Do you know what #gaming really needs? #Valve to make #controllers again, there's a whole bunch of gamers now enjoying the #SteamDeck's wonderful controls and utilising #steaminput to great effect and we don't have an official Valve controller to enjoy Steam Input on a PC to the fullest.
These don't need to be like the old Steam Controller, they should be more like the Steam Deck.
@gpowerf Best controller I ever got for 13 €.
@Ductos I hear great things about it.
@gpowerf It works quite well, but it really depends on what game you're playing. High-precision 2D platformers like #PizzaTower are very hard to endure. My biggest gripe is the missing D-pad.
@Ductos most modern controllers aren't ideal for 2D games anyway :) but yeah, this would be REALLY horrid!
@tekeous @gpowerf @lashman nice!
I only have the one and I had a mini panic attack a couple years ago when I thought it was breaking down. 😅
I really really wish they still supported Steam Link (devices) and controllers.
They finally made their own handheld Steam Machine that is apparently a success, but.... that ain't what I want. At all. 😫
@moondog548 @tekeous @gpowerf unfortunately had to discontinue them due to the lawsuit :( that's why they did that $5 fire sale on them
@moondog548 @tekeous @gpowerf yeah, it was one of the patent trolls, as usual - it was because of the back buttons
so i guess volvo decided they weren't selling enough of them to fight the troll in court, and just nuked them, sadly
@lashman @moondog548 @gpowerf well obviously they got away with the back buttons on the Deck so there’s still hope
@tekeous @moondog548 @gpowerf yeah, here's hoping! 🤞
@moondog548 @gpowerf @lashman They better release Steam Controller 2 with the improvements from the Deck and full rumble or I send Gabe Newell a fart in a jar
@tekeous @moondog548 @gpowerf yeah, i really hope they do!
@gpowerf I just want Valve to get over their dumb touchpad idea.
The Steam controller wrecked my hands immediately, the Vive was a struggle until they updated the controllers and the Steam Deck could be so much smaller with any other pointing device, as seen with the GPD Win 4's choice to use an optical nub instead.
Somebody got really in love with this idea, the handful of people who liked the original controller keep boosting them and somebody needs to break it to them that it's just bad.
