A tip for #weirdCarMastodon
I went on vacation for 3 weeks, and upon my return, I found that my truck had been pooed on by birds, I mean REALLY pooed on! It was a target for them.
I washed the truck and a large area at the back had been etched and it looked really bad.
I tried this hair dryer method and it worked great! The paint looks totally fine and you'd never be able to tell it was ever damaged:

@gpowerf Thanks for the tip. I wonder if this would work on cloudy spots in clear coat caused by a car cover sitting against the paint in hot sun?
@Doppelganger75 I don't know what happens chemically or physically for it to work, but it did make me wonder if it is applicable to other scenarios just like you pointed out.
I wish I had known this sooner! I had cars with marks that I could have easily fixed in the past.
