@acemaxxanalytics I can't read the article due to the pay wall. But when there's a second econony as large as China's it's to be expected that the Yuan will become a backup currency the US dollar. The Yuan isn't just being used by Russia, but it is also being used in Latin America as a dollar alternative for international trade. From the perspective of any country that's not tightly allied to either the US or China it makes sense to have two possible avenues, a disaster recovery plan of sorts because you never know when either of the two economic behemoths will sanction any given country.
