Gyro aiming has been shown to be the fastest and most accurate aiming method for controller players, yet many games and even platforms, such as Xbox, lack native gyro implementation. Fortunately, there are ways to work around this issue using both hardware and software solutions.
For example, the BIGBIG Won Armor X Pro is a versatile controller adaptor that allows gamers to map the gyro to sticks, giving them gyro aiming for any game they desire. It works with Xbox, PC, Switch, and PlayStation, and can even be used on Switch, PC, and PlayStation games that support gyro without mapping to stick, behaving exactly like a PS5 or Switch pad.
Another option is Steam Input, a collection of software, hardware, and configuration utilities that Steam uses to interface with games. With Steam Input, gamers can map the gyro to stick or mouse, offering even more options than the Armor X Pro. Steam Input works with PC and gyro-enabled controllers, and is implemented impressively in the Steam Deck.
The XIM Nexus, a controller that comes with built-in gyro, is another solution that allows users to map the gyro to the stick, similar to the Armor X Pro. It can also be used on Switch, PC, and PlayStation games that support gyro without mapping to stick, and behaves like a PS5 or Switch pad.
Finally, DS4/DS5 Windows is an open-source gamepad input mapper and virtual emulator designed to connect PlayStation or Switch controllers (DualShock 3/4 and DualSense 5) to a Windows 10 & 11 PC. Like Steam Input, it enables users to map the gyro to the mouse, providing yet another option for gamers to experience gyro aiming.
Chinese GWM KingKong-based full-size SUV powered by a frugal 2.0L turbo diesel?
Where do I sign up? NOW!
This looks like a Toyota Sequoia-sized SUV with the power and efficiency of a HiLux. What's not to like? Perfect for camping families.
Praying that Europe will get this or the EV version of this sometime... maybe...

Had fun with #HaloInfinite again last night. But I’m starting to think both Cliff and Chasm need some work to balance them out. I don’t dig those arenas as much as the older ones. Or perhaps players need to adapt? What are your thoughts? #gaming #xbox #gamingonlinux
I like to see what the #offroad scene in the #Philippines is up to. Specially when they get models way sooner than we do, they have had the new model #FordRanger for a long time now! And not everything they do is to my liking, the #angryjeep look imported from the #USA is as ugly as can be… but we can’t all like the same things. Also… white #HiLux looks great 🫶
Potential spoiler alert (minor)
I’m still liking #HogwartsLegacy 👍 last night’s play session was pretty amazing and I made some progress with the main story. #gaming #gamingonlinux #steamdeck
I love charming little computers :) What do you think has the most charming little computers? The present or the past?
Any particular era with the most charming? #retrocomputing #desktops #steamdeck #applenewton #raspberrypi
PS: Yes, your phone counts if you want :)
I want to play the short lived #HaloInfinite event but this game is sooooo buggy! The codebase for this game is probably an insane mess and pile of technical debt. Every time it gets a minor update there are regressions galore! Some so huge that I am amazed it passed QA.
Right now your settings, they get wiped! That’s it, you have to remember them and enter them every time you play.
I won a reward here I think. What reward? Who knows! The thing crashed… 🤷♂️ #gaming
Playing the objective wins the game. In Strongholds always rotate from area to area to area. #HaloInfinite #gaming
Over the years these are the dedicated video #gaming systems that impressed me the most.
- #NES: The transition from the #Atari #2600 to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) was a significant step forward in the evolution of video games. One of the most notable improvements was the addition of more buttons on the NES controller, which allowed for more complex gameplay mechanics. This increased control also meant that games could have a greater degree of depth and variety. Moreover, the NES also boasted improved graphics, which allowed characters to be more detailed and expressive, thus enabling them to have distinct personalities. This advancement allowed for a greater degree of immersion in the games, making the transition from the simple, blocky visuals of the 2600 to the more detailed and nuanced world of the NES feel like a giant leap forward in gaming technology.
- #Wii: The Nintendo Wii was a groundbreaking console that revolutionized the gaming industry with its motion controls. The Wii introduced me to a whole new level of gaming experience where I could physically interact with games through hand and body movements. The intuitive and easy-to-use motion controls allowed players to immerse themselves fully in the game, making it more engaging and interactive. One of the biggest successes of the Wii was that it brought gaming to non-gamers, as the simple and accessible nature of the console made it easy for anyone to pick up and play.
- #Stadia: Stadia showed me that #cloudgaming is not only possible, but it's also the future of the gaming industry. With Stadia, I was able to play high-quality games on any device with a reliable internet connection, without having to worry about hardware limitations. The service was incredibly fast and responsive, and the graphics were stunning. This experience showed me that cloud gaming has the potential to change the way we play and access games, as it eliminates the need for expensive hardware upgrades and allows for gaming on any device, anywhere, anytime. Stadia may have failed as a service, but as a concept, it has set the standard for cloud gaming and has paved the way for the future of gaming.
- #Dreamcast: For me, the Dreamcast was a console that brought the #arcade experience into my home and changed the way I thought about gaming. As a kid, I was always mesmerized by the arcade games I played during family outings, but I never thought I could bring that experience home with me. That all changed when I got my hands on the Dreamcast.
What are some of your favourite systems / #consoles?

This is neat in #HaloInfinite Season 3. The player recap screens show you if you Outperformed or Underperformed in certain areas #gaming
In really liking the new button mapping for #HaloInfinite
Sniper rifle becomes much better with bumper fire. As does the sword. The sword with gyro and bumper fire is good, but not quite as good as it is with keyboard and mouse sadly. #gaming
One of my most controversial opinions is that Billy Mitchell is still one of the greatest gamers of all time. He did use an emulator, he may have cheated, and his ego is colosal! But so is his ability. I don’t think he’s a nice guy, but I can’t say he’s not one of the greatest of all time. #gaming #retrogaming
This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.
