I still maintain that KDA or K/D is unimportant to winning modes like capture the flag. There are advantages to dying like having 2 grenades after re-spawning. #haloinfinite #fps #gaming
We won! Blue team, all of us have really bad KDAs.

Video games have come a long way since their inception in the 1970s. What was once a niche hobby enjoyed by a small group of enthusiasts has now become a multi-billion dollar industry that touches the lives of people from all walks of life. The rise of smartphones, in particular, has changed the video game landscape in unprecedented ways. With the ability to carry around a gaming device in our pockets, everyone now has a #Nintendo in their pocket.
One of the biggest ways in which smartphones have changed video games is by expanding their reach. With a Nintendo that also makes phone calls, anyone can access a vast array of games, from simple time-wasters to more complex, immersive experiences. This means that video games are no longer the exclusive domain of hardcore gamers or those with specialized gaming consoles. Now, people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels can enjoy video games whenever they want, wherever they are simply because now everyone owns a Nintendo.
Another way in which smartphones have changed video games is by transforming the way we play them. Many smartphone games are designed to be played in short bursts, making them ideal for filling in the gaps in our day. Whether waiting in line, commuting on public transportation, or simply taking a break at work, people can now use their smartphones to enjoy a quick game or two. Additionally, the touchscreens on most smartphones offer a unique and intuitive way to interact with games, allowing for new types of gameplay and control schemes.
The rise of Nintendo mobile gaming has also had a significant impact on the gaming industry as a whole. With the low barriers to entry and the ease of distribution afforded by app stores, indie developers and smaller studios now have a chance to create and distribute their games to a global audience. This has led to an explosion of creativity and innovation in the gaming industry, with many new and exciting games being developed every year.
Despite the many benefits that smartphones have brought to the world of video games, there are also some drawbacks to consider. One of the biggest concerns is the potential for smartphone games to be addictive, leading to excessive screen time and neglect of other important aspects of life. Additionally, the prevalence of free-to-play games with in-app purchases has raised concerns about predatory monetization practices and the exploitation of vulnerable players.
In conclusion, the rise of smartphones has had a profound impact on the world of video games. With a Nintendo in our pocket, we now have access to an unprecedented array of games that we can play wherever and whenever we want. While there are certainly some downsides to consider, overall the democratization of #gaming that smartphones have brought about is a positive development that has made video games more accessible, more diverse, and more fun than ever before.
Regular reminder that every bit of hardware that can run a video game is known as “a Nintendo”. Here are some pictures of Nintendos. #gaming
Will the Unreal engine follow up to #HaloInfinite going to be called #HaloFinite? Coz that would be something… #gaming
I’ve read plenty of arguments that #HogwartsLegacy should have a morality system like some other RPGs including the amazing RDRII, however, I’m digging not having a number to indicate how pure I am. I like the whole idea that if you do something bad you have to live with it. Isn’t this more like real life? #gaming
Trying to get into a #HaloInfinite game is like waiting for an ambulance in the UK. An exercise in futility…. #gaming
Today I went exploring further afield in #HogwartsLegacy after attending a fun lesson about beasts. #gaming #SteamDeck #GamingOnLinux
I’m making a bit of a point of always showing the FPS counter for #HogwartsLegacyon #SteamDeck
40 FPS is possible. Sure it dips at times, but not often. 40 feels good for this game too. #gaming
Here are more screenshots of #HogwartsLegacy running on #SteamDeck. One of flying, which is extremely fun largely to the game world looking so wonderful (take note Sonic!), and another image of Profesor Garlick which TikTok tells me is a hugely popular character :) #gaming
Do you know what #gaming really needs? #Valve to make #controllers again, there's a whole bunch of gamers now enjoying the #SteamDeck's wonderful controls and utilising #steaminput to great effect and we don't have an official Valve controller to enjoy Steam Input on a PC to the fullest.
These don't need to be like the old Steam Controller, they should be more like the Steam Deck.
This was my best #HaloInfinite game last night. This is the one modern game I’m playing right now that I’m sure I’m going to be playing into 2024… if it doesn’t die out

Free Switch with your SUV? Damn! I never got a free console when I bought my truck a year and a half ago! #gaming https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/new-toyota-suv-comes-with-nintendo-switch-and-mario-kart-8-deluxe/ar-AA17oo3R
This first broom flight in #HogwartsLegacy is truly magical! I don't think it is just me, I think this will be remembered as one of the most iconic "scenes" in story-driven #games. #gaming
Watching #HaloInfinite streamers who are Onyx ranked it is obvious that well-synchronized team play is as important or more important than amazing single-player skills to achieve a high ranking. #gaming
My top #sports #games of all time:
Basketball #2600 - this game is so replayable and so simple that it is effectively as enjoyable today as it was on release.
California Games #multiformat - whatever computer or consile you like to play this it is bound to be excellent. Different versions have different strong points, well worth checking out.
Baseball Stars 2 #NeoGeo - this is arguably not only the best baseball game of all time but the best sports game of all time. Simply amazing!
Wii Sports #Wii - now this is different from the others, it is more of a family party game than a pure video game. But who on this planet has not spent hours and hours playing this? Surely one of the most popular sports games of all time!
This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.
