This is not surprising. Phasing out ICE cars, or gas boilers takes planning and preparation. Words alone cannot meet targets, some effort is required. I can sit here telling everyone that by 2030, I plan to be a competitive marathon runner, but the important thing isn't the talking, it's the preparation. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-668

@LordArse that TV is all levels of glorious and way more. 😍

DOOM... on a Disney Winnie The Pooh 13” TV.

@AnnieRat1 @OtherRetroMatt not on DOS :) it only supported PC Speaker. The Amiga and ST versions though, yes :D

@jalcine geez! That would be HORRIBLE! Nintendo is not the nicest to their consumers but they innovate and push home gaming forward creatively more than anyone else right now. Microsoft is the exact opposite, they are stuffy, slow, and generally lack creativity.

Nintendo would slowly but surely be transformed into a meaningless name that's cranking out derivative crud.

@M0KHR at home the first IBM clone my parents bought (8086 with an 8086 math coprocessor) had a green on black screen :)

Incredibly happy with today's #RetroGame haul from Ipswich.

Every game here is a true classic.

@M0KHR I just tagged Hercules because it's the only mono graphics controller I remembered :) In fact, I also used an XT clone with an amber screen and a Hercules card.

@darth yeah, I'm signed up to the mail list I think.

@kellyn hehehe :) I tried hard to stay away from saying batshit when I wrote the toot 😆 lol

I AGREE!

@meredithw typical engagement fishing technique. Lots of people do it, even YouTubers make mistakes simply to fish for comments.

I believe in , we need free software and the recent case shows this. However, I also think that the is suboptimal and is not the best body to represent users’ needs, for various reasons. Some of these reasons are:

* The FSF is too radical or dogmatic in its views and actions.

* The FSF is too outdated or irrelevant in the modern software landscape, it lives in the long-forgotten past.

* The FSF is too ineffective or inefficient in its operations and campaigns, they preach to the same choir over and over again and never seem to reach new ears.

@darth there's also The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. But I don't know, it's less impactful than Breath of the Wild and more predictable than Hugwarts winning.
