@wiredfire the Freevie section of Amazon Video already has ads. And yeah, all of a sudden privacy is more tempting.
@ouij @gamingonlinux To me, it is just a console :) No different to a Switch or Xbox.
ChimeraOS or any other SteamOS-like distro though on a desktop, it's a nice second OS. One OS for work and daily tasks, and another for gaming.

An Arch-based Linux distro with an immutable file system wouldn't be my first choice as a daily driver desktop OS. But yeah, it will get users exploring and considering switching to Linux :)
@gamingonlinux the fact that Windows is no longer needed for a huge chunk of the Steam library is HUGE!

#GazooRacing has replaced #TRD everywhere other than in North America, right?
I don't see TRD being marketed in Asia or Europe at all. Yet in North America there are still TRD trucks being released.
My guess is that TRD and GR both exist as performance divisions. But TRD does stuff for truck-loving Americans and bigger and more well-known GR takes care of the rest of the planet?
@gamingonlinux good good good. If we want devs to target the Steam Deck specifically it has to have a long lifespan, if not they will simply not worry too much about performance and adopt "it'll perform well on the next version" approach.

About a year ago #Microsoft bricked my mom's #Windows10 computer by attempting an automated #Windows11 install. Maybe I could have saved it by reinstalling Windows 10, but it was old and she is much happier with the #Chromebook I bought for her.
