@trinsec I bought one for my wife, I never intended to get one for myself. I was happy with Ubuntu as a laptop daily driver. Eventually, I switched 😀 my desktop is Pop!_OS now, but laptop is a Chromebook.

One of the most surprising things about the #RussellBrand documentary and accusations is how much the culture has changed in the last 20 years. Specifically, British culture was very misogynistic, at the time we couldn't see it. But it's crystal clear today. #LadCulture was essentially everywhere and normalised.
@trinsec they are really pretty good. With Crostini they are super useful, and they boot up so so fast.
@darth I LOVE Metroidvania style games, but they take commitment. Try some of the Castlevania games for GBA, amazing games!
@darth I loved Halo and Halo 2 back in the day 😍 the new games have lost some lustre for sure. They've failed to keep up with the times but it's still fun to see where they've got to.
I jumped back into #HaloInfinite after months of not playing. I've not forgotten the mechanics, many new levels so it feels alien and I remembered exactly why I don't play it often anymore... long waits ✋️ #gaming
But still, it was fun. I think Halo Infinite and #Exoprimal are going to be the games I jump into once a month or so just for variety.
@davidnjoku I don’t like it either. If he or anyone else is proven guilty then they should pay for their crimes, but I’m uncomfortable with governments being able to pressure social media platforms to demonetise specific people.
This is coming from someone who found the documentary very compelling. I’m inclined to believe it, however, I’m not judge, jury, and executioner and neither is the government.

There should be a reverse Indiana Jones film where a South American tribe sneaks into the Vatican, steals some relics, and gets away on a boat while a bunch of men in golden robes shake their fists and shout their strange language.

It's nice that #Unity3D walked back to terms that don't apply unless you use their latest engine, but that's the take-away: you need to not use their latest anymore. Finish your game. Find another engine. This is just an escape clause.
Anyone who sticks with them will get screwed the next time their c-suite wants to goose their stock price.

If you’re looking for #OpenSource app recommendations, you probably generally land in the usual « LibreOffice / GIMP » space.
But what about other apps, like Obsidian, Notion, VS Code, Teams or Slack?
Well, I have a few recommendations for these as well, if you want to go all open source (and they all run on #Linux, of course):

@ouij Thankfully my workplace is OK with either Android or iOS. I have an Intel Chromebook as my personal laptop and I like it a lot. It runs dosbox just fine :) The Linux container is super useful! So much so that I think I'll continue to use Chromebooks for laptops and Linux for desktops when it comes to my own devices.
I've ended up enjoying using Android a lot after a few years with iOS. I think I'm returning to Android as my main phone OS. Let's enjoy some better hardware 😀

@wiredfire I'm actually OK with ads as long as:
* They are not too long.
* I can pay extra on a per-movie basis to remove them. I frankly don't care about ads on TV series.
* I am in control of what ads to ban from ever appearing again.
