@jonn_blanchard it's hard for people outside the UK (where he really isn't well known at all) to understand that Brand's 5 minutes of fame burned with HUGE intensity, for a while he was everywhere here.
@memeinmymastodon@mastodon.social I'm so sad that I was debating internally if the original photo was of a 1968–1974 Chevy Nova, or 72-ish Chevelle. Then I concluded that the windshield wiper means it is probably the Nova! I felt proud till I realized how geeky all this was.
@hersheyfan ooooh very cool! I've been tempted by one of these :) but honestly my 2 mechanical keyboards are just fine and I'm struggling to justify the expense.

Over the moon with the new 8bitDo mech (Fami ed) that just came in. Highly recommended!
@richardknott in countries where 14-year-olds can drive this, it makes perfect sense! Especially at the affordable lease price. If it was possible here for my 14-year-old son to drive this I'd get it for him, the freedom and mobility that he would get over a bicycle is huge.
I can really really see the point of this little quad in some places, if the regulations match the product this is perfect.

The problem with a lot of the complaints about ChatGPT and copyright is that there is literally no difference from what ChatGPT does versus what Alexa & Google Assistant do besides ChatGPT being a lot better at it than then.
ChatGPT is basically the answer to what if Alexa didn’t suck and the computer from Star Trek could be built in our lifetimes?
The key point being that going all in on the copyright regime’s arguments against generative AI causes more harm than just limiting ChatGPT.
