We're working on removing all Twitter integration from CoffeeGeek.com, starting tomorrow. There's a lot to do.

I have a long thread, a "call to action" to the remaining #coffee community on Twitter, ready to post on October 10th, my last day on that platform.

If it entices any companies, services, charitable organizations, brands, or individuals in the specialty coffee sphere to make the leap here, I know many of you will welcome them with open arms.

Stay tuned! :)

This mini pickup EV is almost perfect. It's called the Telo and it has the same bed length as a mid-size pickup like a HiLux but it's the same overall length as a small hatchback. There may be safety challenges with that super short nose, but in terms of practicality I'm impressed.

500HP is a little insane and very 2023 where almost every EV is overpowered. But hey, it's better than underpowered.

Just thought of something. The internet is filled with ads, and especially social media so ripe with it (and product placement).

But with linked in it feels like everyone is personally selling. It’s like steeping into social media where everyone is a sales person that knows your name.

If I had a nickel for every time I saw a feature which demoes well to execs and press but isn’t actually useful to the customers of the product, I’d be able to retire by now.

This is one of the more obvious consequences of promotion driven development.

A couple of days ago, we asked what games the community would recommend to new #SteamDeck users and you answered! Here is the list of games you all recommended:

¿Alguien conoce sitios aparte de Cex/Cash converters/Ebay/Wallapop donde comprar películas en blu-ray de segunda mano?

Sadly our idea of charging people £7.99 for a blue tick to put on their experimental results didn’t pan out. But I think charging people to run experiments might be the future

Just a reminds... sugar is just dehydrated vegetable juice (cane plant).

Finland has no private schools – and its pupils perform better than British children

Finland ranked seventh in the world in OECD’s student assessment chart in 2018, well above the UK and the United States, where there is a mix of private and state education

My perspective is fairly straightforward. Either have everyone that works together be in the same office then RTO or let people work from wherever. Forcing people to commute to take Zoom calls from the office is the worst of both worlds.

Just a reminder: i take a break on most weekends, which is why there’s often no content. It’s important to take breaks 🤟

@gpowerf @StarkRG @gamingonlinux over on the twisted wreckage of the hellsite, I saw a pretty decent thread about the the idea that social media either encourages people to feel, or perhaps encourages them to act on their pre-existing feelings, that everything in the universe must be about them at all times

Managed to repair another #Amiga500 yesterday that had given me headaches for quite some time. Turned out to be a really simple fault in the end that I didn’t catch. D’oh! Video coming soon! #Commodore #Amiga #A500 #RetroComputing #VintageComputing

Moar #Amiga videos are in the making. Sorry for the delay, I‘m watching after 3 cats and a teenager for a couple of days and am #OutofOffice (or rather, away from my lab) most of the time. "Stay tuned"! 🙃
