Otherwise, OpenAI might harvest all your data, including trade secrets. Humans take shortcuts easily without realizing risks. I am not a big fan of banning stuff, but companies don't have a choice here. Some HR also updates job contracts that tell employees not to use any AI tool for coding and increasing company legal liability as they don't know the code origin

Signed up to a Friendica server. Wasn’t allowed to create my own password on registration but rather was emailed, in clear text, a password along with my username. Logging on first time there is no prompt to require password change.
That’s a security practice red flag 🚩

My #MidweekMuseum today is the Centre for Computing History (or Computer Museum) in Cambridge. I took so few photos when we visited here because we were so busy playing games or trying to remember some BASIC or COBOL, or, in the case of vintage machines like the IMSAI 8080 that was used in the movie WarGames, simply enjoying the sound and feel of flicking the switches. Stupidly fun feast of nostalgia.
