I think with all the non-english posts around here we need to make a few new rules in order to keep things safe for moderation and keeo the timeline interesting. I would like everyones feedback.
1) You must be able to speak english fluently enough to interact with english moderators and english commentors
2) You must have a STEM interest in being here (though not required to post on any one subject).
Also note it is still very hard to moderate non-english posts for now im using a translator but it makes my job MUCH slower...
Would you say these two points apply to you.
@freemo Hello, i'm new at mastodon;)
So if i got these 2 rule right, they are only relatet to toots viewable in public timeline of this server - and not if i answer / comment toots on other servers?
@freemo Interesting, yes, that was one of the points to came here, but i think i am not studied enough to open toots interesting enough for these terms. Another point was, that this seams not that restricted in length (500 signs) because i dont like to split longer texts (but i see now a countdown fom 500, maybe related to tusky app)
@freemo Yes i like to see science themes more concentrated. So thanks for clarification, and nice day to you ;)
@gueux You as well.
@gueux We have a 65,000 limit. You do not need to be an expert in STEM it only needs to be something you want to be around and talk about.
