But understand the context that quantification and hypotheses are rather new concepts for the social sciences, which is a field struggling to get out of the dark ages and begin putting the "science" in "social science." So while from a hard science perspective this is not too impressive, it is part of a growing trend to revolutionize the social sciences toward data and hypothesis driven investigation.
