This is the most uncontroversial chart. You don't have to extrapolate, but be happy for the polar bears.

@hasmis there's been upward jumps before. The trend is still going down
@Floyd All temperatures and Arctic ice volume have been 'out of band' recently for the extrapolations. Is there a general belief that they will go back to the bands?

@hasmis The first graph shows the trend is still down, and the second shows it's ending this year worse than when it started.
Also, I wonder where the data is from and why the end of the 2021 line isn't close to the beginning of 2022?
