@physics_magazine@mas.to This was a big issue with our nuclear plants and the outflow water. As long it stayed on the top, the warmth went right away to the atmosphere. However, at freezing, the warmer water would dive and kill spawning fishies. Add a billion dollars, and there was an outfall tunnel with pipe dispersers.
