@tylerauerbeck Hi! A is a great low-cost option for cleaning indoor air, it's been tested to be as efficient as a HEPA filter for a fraction of the cost (so you can have one in every room, if needed)

Two things that are really important on here:

♿ Add text descriptions to your images/videos/audio. Accessibility is fundamental. More info: fedi.tips/mastodon-and-fediver

⚠️ Use Content Warnings on anything that people may not want to read right now. It could be upsetting like violence or politics, mild like movie spoilers, but either way it shows empathy and consideration for strangers. More info: fedi.tips/staying-safe-on-mast

These features are key to keeping this place friendly. Please use them. 🙏 ❤️

Hi all! I am an environmental engineer/ atmospheric chemistry NSF postdoc at Colorado State University. I study and , specifically sources of emerging influence, and develop and tools to expand and automate analysis of datasets. I care a lot about harassment prevention , air quality , and STEM education equity.

#Introduction:

Hello! I am a scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where I use the tools of analytical #chemistry to study #climate, #AtmosphericChemistry and #AirQuality.

I look forward to posting lots of #fieldwork photos and connecting with others working on #aerosols and #climate.

Well hello there! It’s exciting to start over on a new platform.!
About me:
I’m an environmental engineer and professor at CU Boulder. I work with aerosols (tiny particles in air that are bad for you to breathe), especially in indoor air. I share professional and personal stuff on social media.

Hullo. So this is Mastodon, eh? Well, I'm here. And to celebrate, here's a photo I took yesterday in Kingston NY of Good Omens director Douglas directing An Unnamed Actor (on the other side of the glass) in Episode 2 of Good Omens Season 2 (Coming Next Summer).

Happy 🥳

Did you know that if you capitalize each word in a multi-word hashtag, #ScreenReaders can read them as words, but if you leave them lowercase, they can't? Well, now you know! So, for #accessibility, please capitalize words when there's more than one in a hashtag.

I am an analytical atmospheric chemist, I studied aging of PAHs in PM, as well as environmentally persistent free radicals (EPFR) in combustion particles for my PhD. Currently a post doc at the University of Colorado, Boulder where I am developing a method for measuring surfactant concentrations in indoor air. Passionate about air quality, indoor and out. Love hiking and live music. Mom to two humans and two cats. she/her

I have no idea what I’m doing here, but here’s a pic of my cat while I figure things out
