So spent the weekend trying to decide between NixOS and Guix and finally decided to go with NixOS.. Installed it on my company laptop and my main desktop and one of my employees computers... so far I'm loving it and exited to learn this new distro.

The more I read up on the two I think I picked the right choice too.

@freemo I'm currently using Devuan, but I've wondered about NixOS and Guix. I seem to remember one of these is based on Scheme? Possibly Guile?

@hendrikboom3 guix is newer and based on guile (i find lisp styled languages unbearably ugly which is half the reason i went with nixos which uses a different but functional language)

@freemo Do either of NixOS and Guix support tge same style of dual booting as Devuan and Debian so I can choose OS's at coot time? Do their package managers fit insidevanother OS?

@hendrikboom3 not sure what "style" you mean but every distro supports dual booting, you do that via the bootloader and not the distro
