@daphnehk I think the handful of quirky design opinions of some of the key developers (no quote-tweet, no full-text search) really reduces interactivity.

Twitter has been exactly the asynchronous water cooler I needed. (Because chatting with colleagues in real time is so inconvenient!) So far on Mastodon I'm not getting that -- there is almost no back and forth. I'm probably doing it wrong.

Kieran Moore and Sylvia Jones have chosen politics over public health again by going this route that will limit media coverage of bivalent eligibility and vaccination program for kids.
