Feature request for #ivory

Please change the way old tweets are loaded. the current system is driving me crazy. it seems to load about 200 tweets at a time starting from the oldest. This may be fine for power users who spend a lot of time in the app but it is not great for casual users. I mostly use Mastodon in the browser of my computer, not in the app. When I open Ivory after a few days absence I have to spend inordinate amount of time repeatedly pulling thousands of old messages till I get to recent ones. This is very annoying. Please make it possible to skip loading all old messages and load from most recent as opposed to the oldest ones. Metatext does this and it’s much more convenient.

Today's horrific gun violence in Atlanta was six blocks from my home. My orthopedist is in that building, and I've been to appointments in that building many times.

Guns are out of control in this country and it's getting worse..

Spam (like the torrent of cryptoscamspam lots of people got this morning) has been very rare for me here (and dealt with quickly), but I've noticed that almost all of the spam I've gotten has been via Mastodon's DM feature.

I really wish there was a way to turn DMs off or at least restrict them to people I follow. Control over incoming DMs was a thing Twitter did better than here.

1/ Russian soldiers have spoken about their experiences of being captured and later released by Ukraine, and what they plan to do next. Some are going back to the war, while others are disillusioned and trying to escape from their contracts. ⬇️

In the UK they are stopping people who are wearing a mask from voting. It’s unacceptable to exclude high risk people from democracy.
