@moritz @paul Well, devs need a constant income to be able to survive as a business. The other option is charge every few years for a new app version. Then people that bought the app 1-2 months before the new version would be mad, understandably so. And instead of rolling new features constantly, they’ll save them for the new version, so we’ll get big jumps in features every 1-3 years. They can’t sell for a one-time payment and maintain the app and keep up with new OS features for free forever.

@moritz @paul Other option I’ve seen that I like is charge for the app and a year of updates. Then after the year you won’t get new features, but the app will still work will all you got. You can then pay for another year of updates if you want. That’s a nice compromise and business model. Streaks, Hookmark and others do that.
