@devontechnologies Took a minute but I found it! Had to think of where it would make sense to be hidden 😂. Might be purchase time. @tantramar had just told me how he uses the program so it may be perfect timing.

@jeremydebose @devontechnologies @tantramar also found it just for fun, because I have been using it already for years. Probably a random internet opinion is worth less than your friends suggestion, but I will agree with him in recommending it. It’s the most comprehensive database/finder/document sorter/idea generator I’ve seen. I use obsidian for most of my writing because of the UI and plugins, but all my text is indexed in DEVONthink because nothing finds connections and files like it.

@iPabloSB @devontechnologies @tantramar Random opinions are worth just as much! I may use it along with Drafts. I like Obsidian but can’t see myself paying $100 a year subscription model just to sync devices. I’d never be a Power User, I don’t think, since I only use it for school and writing mostly.

@jeremydebose @devontechnologies @tantramar but you can also sync obsidian via git or even simpler, as an iCloud Drive folder. That’s what I do. I paid the one-time 50$ to support the app but I’m not subscribed to Obsidian Sync.
I also use Drafts. The best app to start text IMO and so powerful when you start to add actions!
I use all of that as a researcher, so I’m like the poster child for all those PKM evangelists. Even with that, I only use a fraction of what DEVONthink can do.
