Taking advantage of the time change to work on some builds. . Shaped a tip for a 5" Big Daddy nosecone form (will be fiberglass laid over), drilled vent holes in the Big Daddy tube and a 5" Doorknob. Now to reinforce the air foiled Doorknob fins with some epoxy.

Also sanded the filled spirals on the Doorknob body tube. These tubes were from my work, on their way to being thrown out. Got a ton of them. 61" long, 5.25" OD with 1/8" thick walls. Very beefy. Cost of nothing is even better. Got many other build ideas stewing.

As for spiral filling, I've gone to using wall spackle from wood filler. Doesn't shrink when it dries and sands very nice with 400 grit to smooth it out and not cause paper tube fuzzies. Goes on easier too and seems to stick really well.
