Any downside to replacing my Sram XG-1150 10-42T with e*thirteen’s 9-46T TRS+? And then dropping my chainring to 38 to get a lower low gear (or lower for bikepacking).
It seems like it will work fine with my Rival shifters.
@bryanhansel What rear derailleur? Some Sram road RDs have a max 42t limit.

And I have never used the cassette you mentioned, but 9t instead of 10t on the smallest will most probably wear out faster than the current one.
