Last day of work before time off until July 29th. Just want the day to end....

@epu Thanks!

I did minimal prep on it. The surface was pretty good. Cleaned it up, and primed it with Rustoleum 2x black primer since the color needs a black basecoat. I sprayed grey on the headtube after that and masked off the shapes. Shot black primer over. Removed the mask. Then color went on and the 2k clear after that. Easy.

It's black, purple, red, gold, orange....

Kid outgrew his race bike. He's growing like a weed now, so this may be short lived and I pinched pennies here because of that. Ebay frame, moved parts over. Just didn't make sense to spend a ton on something new if it's used for 1-2 years.

Took the opportunity to rebuild the Sid XX fork and extend it from 100mm to 120mm of travel. Frame has 100mm.

Paint is Custom Paints, Inc. Chromacoat Fireball. Best rattle can paint ever. Amazing stuff.

Came in at 25# ready to race. Not bad.

Had a copilot on my ride today. Just chilling on the top tube.

Seriously? A leaf blower at 6:10am?!?!

Good morning. Back in the real world after a week of camping up north (WI) and the kiddo's state trap shooting championship. Here's a loon :)

Until we have a proper legal regime that requires meaningful individual consent for the use of online posting in model training — and I’m not holding my breath — I see just one clearly effective tool at our disposal to fight back:

Shitposters, this is your moment.

That’s why I’m using a regular office stapler to speed integration of JavaScript GraphQL APIs with COBOL GPUs. Just put the JSON the pastry tube, and plant the high bits 1-3 inches deep in humus-rich soil. stefanbohacek.online/@stefan/1

@LouisIngenthron That is very likely just the window manager hanging. The OS is probably fine. As mentioned in another reply, ctr-alt-f# can get you to a terminal.

Crtl-alt-backspace, maybe twice, can restart the display manager and get you back to a fresh start with the UI.

It may be good to setup SSH server on the machine so you could remotely login.

Good luck!

Trek 100 (charity ride for the MACC Fund) MTB route today....at Trek's private trails. Rained on the first lap, so it got a little messy, but wasn't too bad. Held speed back a bit. Goal was to ride as many laps as we wanted. I got in four. Recorded two and three.

Kid knocked out nearly five laps at a pace way higher than mine.

Great day on the bike.

@szakib I need to learn more about mushrooms so I can safely pick and eat. I took a sniff of these and it was wonderful.

@famousringo That's a really fantastic perspective to have, thanks for pointing that out :)

Did a N-1 last night and it's tough, but makes me happy. The woman who bought this Trek District looked so incredibly joyful testing it out. I'm donating all the proceeds to our NICA MTB team, so that makes it even better.

Sadly, it was a bit redundant in our fleet and a bit too small for me, but has to be one of the nicest bikes I've ever had the pleasure of riding.

Goodbye friend; make someone else happy.

Clearly the best part of being forced back into the office, besides the insipring interior design, is people having meetings on speakerphone in their cube. Either the clown paces around while on a call (with headset) or this. So great. What awesome culture.

Making some mods to our Aliner Classic camper before our several short summer trips. Putting the queen bed platform on lift cylinders to make it easier to get to storage underneath that is hard to utilize in stock config. Using as much scrap as I can, and some old steel brackets from a long gone swingset make for great lift braces with an extra hole drilled. Don't throw anything away!

Still need to go get 76" of piano hinge and some screws for that.

Late post. Violet soaking up the morning sun. Snapped it then had to run to a wilderness medicine class for the day.

We joke about being able to tell one of our neighbor's is home; "Sherry must be home, the leaf blower is running"
