It depends a little on your phone and browser you use to view Vivaldi Social. But I have a feeling you're using Vivaldi on Android. Am I right?
There you indeed need to long press on the image and if the ALT text is very long, then additionally tap on the text itself. It'll expose the rest of it.
In Vivaldi on iOS the full ALT text is immediately visible in the context menu after long pressing on an image.
