I'm finding it hard to comprehend that US pundits are concerned that their Supreme Court may strike down the protection for inter-racial marriage. I mean... what the f**k? They'd prevent people marrying, in our modern age, based upon their skin colour? That would be barbaric.

@jasonetheridge What has everyone upset is Justice Thomas' concurrence in which he questioned the line of rulings granting rights under substantive due process, which included interracial marriage. What the pundits overlook is what he said next, which was that such rights might be better sourced under the Privileges and Immunities Clause. He wasn't arguing against interracial marriage -- he's in one! -- but rather over where such a right should be sourced.
