@Pallais Sure, but preventing inter-racial marriage has no basis as anything. Anti-gay marriage could at least argue that marriage is between a man and a woman as per their religious text of choice; but what possible basis is there of preventing too humans from traditionally marrying just because of an immutable physical characteristic based on the respective ancestries?
I'm finding it hard to comprehend that US pundits are concerned that their Supreme Court may strike down the protection for inter-racial marriage. I mean... what the f**k? They'd prevent people marrying, in our modern age, based upon their skin colour? That would be barbaric.

@ElsaJansen@mastodon.social I can see how that would be terrible! You have to see the vileness before you can block. Now we just have to convince others to come across too. Much nicer here, at least so far! Perhaps Twitter will become a honeypot for the trolls, and keep them away from Mastodon. :)
@ElsaJansen@mastodon.social Agreed. I never really saw any bad stuff on Twitter directly. But Elon's actions just make me feel sick. I just don't like the direction in which it's sliding.
@ElsaJansen@mastodon.social We saw it Gold Class today; haven't been to the movies since the Rise of Skywalker came out. Avatar was a masterpiece, and spectacular on the big screen. We didn't see it in 3D; I don't want to wear the funky glasses for that long! It was fine just as it was. I hope you enjoy it. :)
Saw a trailer for the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons movie. I have to see it. I don't care if it's terrible! It looks promising, all the fantasy elements I could hope for.
Just back from seeing Avatar: The Way of Water. Absolutely incredible, visually spectacular. Over 3 hours but didn't notice the time pass. Doesn't leave you feeling good about humanity, though it does give us something to aspire to. Highly recommended!
