I've been here a few days and realized that I didn't yet make an #introduction. Remedying that now.

I'm a #tax attorney. One of the things that I do is help folks out of tax jams, and, hopefully, keep others from getting into them.

I am currently the Team Lead for Bloomberg Tax Insights and Commentary, where I write and share tax stories. Before moving to Bloomberg, I was a senior editor at Forbes.

I'm a mom, and I talk about my kids... a lot. We're a big sports family--my girls play field hockey and ice hockey, and my son plays (and writes about) soccer. I used to play soccer, too, back in the day--that's me in the photo.

I also love to travel and spend much of my time explaining to my children why they can’t move to Europe—this week.

(There's also a rumor that I have too many plants, but that's clearly not true. You can't have too many plants.)

@jaysonmassey Mixed, I guess?
I mean, qualitatively, I don't miss the bickering and nonsense on the bird app... but I do miss the chatter!

@taxgirl Just like when I joined every other social media site. Starts slow. Maybe find some soccer hooligans?

I think tax pros/lawyers are going to be slow to adopt Mastodon.

Plus side: you could become HUGE in your niche!

@taxgirl We'll just have to create some chatter.

You want soccer chatter? These new soccer balls are bad for the game. The older ones were heavier so you could really put a bunch of foot energy into 'em. You could really wop 'em!
