UGH, this is the kind of logic that keeps us from learning, growing, and doing better. Note, I'm not commenting on what is the right or wrong solution here (plenty of other threads for that), but the "No one complained before" logic is such a dangerous statement.

@jaysonmassey @alyssam_infosec I had this “discussion” repeatedly at Microsoft (1993-2003, dunno how things are these days but I have a good guess), and it never resolved correctly.
