Although I was not a mega-fan of Harry Potter, I eventually came around to reading the books and watching the movies. I used to enjoy rewatching the movies regularly, but after all of JKR's transphobic spewing, I couldn't.

I miss the movies, and feel bad for all the actors and crew caught in the crossfire who don't deserve it. Anyway, this zine by Maia Kobabe is a must-read.

@jezlyn We had a fella called Chopper in Australia (bad guy, gang and contract killer) he went on to write books and they made a movie (excellent and recommend) but I only ever borrowed books from library to bought second haand and ripped the movie. He got no money I got entertained. Art v Artist is an interesting topic but I can't boycott if the art is good. I just don't give them my money.

@jellycrystals Yeah, there's a bit at the end where they talk about how to ethically interact with Harry Potter, through secondhand sales of media, or supporting fan art. Art vs artist is still something I struggle with, which reminds me I should finish the book Monsters, which talks through this dilemma.

@jezlyn I teach a subject called Theory of Knowledge for the International Baccalaureate and it is a philosophy type subject. We have lessons about JK and Kanye and quite a few others. Kids get a lot out of it.
