Hi Mastodon,
I'm a PhD candidate in #philosophy at the #UniversityOfHelsinki , focusing on #metaphysics, #ontology, #processphilosophy and philosophy of #biology. I also study #theology , in which I'm most interested in philosophy of religion, #processtheology , the relationship between science and religion, and the role of #religion in matters of conflict and #peace.
I'm looking forward to share things & have conversations about #research in my fields, but also about
- #books (I read #nonfiction #scifi and #specfic the most)
- #antimilitarism , #nuclearban , #nucleardisarmament
- #pedagogy (since I occasionally work in #education )
- #games: #videogames, #boardgames & #tcg
- #movies
- #birds
Let me know if you are tooting (:D) about any of these things!

Is process philosophy that of Whitehead's? I'm not familiar with the term.
@MrBerard Hi! Yes, process philosophy is most often associated with Whitehead. However, I've been more involved with other process ontological theories, especially Johanna Seibt's non-whiteheadian process ontology.
Even though Whitehead's influence is huge, I think it's fair to say that we can call any philosophical theory which puts an emphasis on dynamic nature of reality process philosophical.
That's interesting. I've been fascinated by Whitehead's ontology ever since I found out about it, which to my shame was way too late. I didn't even know of his inheritors.

...and _dynamic_ fun at that. Nonw of that stolid ontology whereby fun is a static property, in fact it emerged from the dynamic interactions of minds over time.
(Hm, this was meant as a throwaway joke, but come to think of it, this may actually be a legit philosophical comment. Not that the two are mutually exclusive!)
