I just watched Harris whiff a very simple question about trans people's right to access to gender affirming care and I want to scream.
How hard is it to say YES, lady?!?
This is an eaaaaasy question!!
My answer: "Megan, will you get hormone therapy when you're in perimenopause? Yes? That's gender affirming care. And if we believe in a just society, and I do, then the way the world works for you -- the majority -- is how it needs to work for the most vulnerable among us. So the answer is yes. I hope that reassures my trans neighbors that they can trust and take me at my word."
Her answer: "I believe in following the law."
Dems are gonna give me a stroke. Fucking christ.
And don't get up my nose about how I'm destroying America by criticizing Harris!
I'm voting for her, damn!
But she is sooooo emblematic of the fucking problem with the Dem party. They need our communities to win (and they sure can market to us), but cornered, they fall back on some mealy mouthed pap.
In the Black church, we called that being a 'lukewarm' believer.
There's nothing worse than being lukewarm.

If she loses the TERF vote, she loses. And all trans people loses.
The real battle is to convince conservatives that this is not a partisan issue, it is a human rights issue.
It's the only real way to win.
