It is incredibly embarrassing for this continent that Sanchez has to join a group of Latin American leaders in issuing a statement of condemnation for the US invasion, because no other leader in Europe will join him in criticising 🇺🇸.

We have a very serious issue of USA dependence.
And of far right leaders aligning with EU worst enemies.
Maybe it is time of start thinking less about EU resilience and more about EU independence.
And much, much deeper ties with Latin America and Africa.
I think they need us as much as we need them. As equals, this time.
