Under a Paramount-WBD merger, two struggling media giants would unite
Can two declining companies form a profitable one?

In other times, I would think joining Paramount and Warner catalogs would make a stronger streaming platform, for example.
The fact that most of Warner catalog has never been on their streaming platform says it won't be that way.
Another way would be if they had different strengths and the merge would solve their weakness; but I don't see reasons to think so.
So I guess this would be the classic company merger where people is fired, property sold, the resulting company ends up being much smaller and influential than the sum of the parts, but some execs and investors get much richer.
