Woah!
“I told the AI that I wanted to write a software in Swift, I wanted it to find all Microsoft Office files from my MacBook and send these files over HTTPS to my webserver. I also wanted it to encrypt all Microsoft Office files on my MacBook and send me the private key to be used for decryption. It sent me the sample code, and this time there was no warning message at all, despite being potentially more dangerous than the phishing email.”

I have learned how to follow a hashtag on this site. From the web interface, search or click on a hashtag that interest you and then click the icon in the top right with the plus sign on top of the person sign. The symbol reads more literally as “add this person” but it’s the “follow this hashtag” icon. Posts with that hashtag will then appear in your home timeline. It’s wonderful.

This week in @Nature@twitter.com we present our #SingleCell dissection of #ApoE4, the strongest genetic variant for #Alzheimers.
ApoE4 impairs #cholesterol #transport, leading to #oligodendrocyte ER accumulation, decreased #myelination.
Restoring transport restores mouse cognition.

Using eye tracking for marketing studies requires informed consent. Since Meta doesn't make any promises about protecting or deleting your abstracted eye gaze data, informed consent is impossible.
Therefore this is unethical research. And yet the researchers are like "hey, this is cool." We need better education.

BTW, Meta seems to say this kind of app goes against its developer ToS. Let's see what they do about it...

Obviously, #Galactica is still just a large language model, not some sort of universal knowledge engine.
You can't expect it to give correct responses to arbitrary questions about science and the broader world.
Sadly, the way Papers With Code/Meta AI designed the web page may lead to people trusting its language model outputs way too much, as @Michael_J_Black and many others are pointing out.
