I don't understand people who block those they argue with. I mean, why would they try to follow you? And even if they were already doing that, they'd probably unfollow you after being treated like shit by you.
A block is an extreme measure that should only be used in extreme cases, like, I don't know, dealing with sociopaths, or something. In general, if you feel annoyed by someone or you dislike their opinions, the mute button is your friend.

Also, what's with announcing blocks? Announcing a block in the middle of a discussion should be treated as comparing the other person to Hitler or the nazis: The moment you do so, you should automatically lose the argument. Just mute silently and go on with your life.
