@coolboymew Last time I went into one of those, I closed my eyes and concentrated on the sound. I swear I got the impression that it was an electropunk concept album about how the two nurses who attended me wanted to blow up the hospital.

@coolboymew No, but, depending on the machine, it can be a bit uncomfortable/distressing because of the noise. Modern scanners make a softer sound (still noisy, though) and that helps a lot.

Also, if you’re claustrophobic it might not be a fun experience, because it really takes a long time (between twenty minutes and an hour, sometimes more if you move).

The nurses try to make it as comfortable an experience as possible (they give you ear plugs and a button you can push if there is any problem), but, in the end, it is what it is, a necessary evil.

@coolboymew @josemanuel I've done it multiple times, it's comfortable to lay in there but the noise can be a bit much. At least where I was they gave me hearing protection with radio to distract from the loud noise a little.

For me the scariest part is when it starts because I keep thinking that something metallic was accidentally left behind and fucks me up but once it's going, there's not much to it.
