@coolboymew That's clearly staged by whoever took the picture. It's not messy enough for real kids. It's probably an ad for the product.

Also, if she doesn't love her kids that much, either she doesn't have any, or she doesn't love them at all.

@josemanuel you're misunderstanding, it's one of those recent elf do mischief thing for christmas
@josemanuel @coolboymew @josemanuel yeah, this is the parents doing a goofy thing for the kids. all the pasta was properly strained and dried to minimize messiness. you can see there's no sauce or water anywhere on the stove.

@coolboymew Not familiar with that tradition, but if it's their culture, I'll have to respect it, I guess.

@josemanuel "culture" it's north American and comes from a 2005 or so book
@coolboymew @josemanuel Yes, it was suddenly everywhere and a "cherished christmas tradition." Virtually no one who is doing this with their kids had one when they were kids. Now it's so popular my kids' bus driver has an elf on her bus.

@coolboymew Oh, I didn't know that, but I still find it a bit stupid and mostly for show.

Do the kids like that? Because all I would think if I saw it is: “I didn't ask for this. I'm not cleaning this shit.” Also, you can't even eat anything afterwards. The more I think about it, the more braindead the idea seems.

@josemanuel you can do it with much, much less

These grandiose shows of it are 100% for social media brownie points
@josemanuel @coolboymew @josemanuel im pretty sure as a kid i would absolutely want to eat rainbow spaghetti with marshmallows. and being messy is fun as long as the parents have to clean it up

@coolboymew Exactly. It would be a good idea if burglars entered your house, though. “But why did the elves took my PS4, mommy?” “To upgrade it to the newest and shiniest model, honey!”

You know what? I think the kids should be the ones doing this to surprise their parents.
