Does anyone still read magazines in the current year? I still see them for sale at the grocery store, so someone's got to be buying them, but by the mid-00s it was clear that the internet had made magazines completely obsolete.

The only reason I can see to read a magazine is if you live somewhere with unreliable internet access and you don't mind your info being a month out of date.

@noyoushutthefuckupdad I read more printed magazines now than ever, but most are related to old stuff, like _RetroGamer_, or music, like _Uncut_, _Mojo_ or _RecordCollector_. I also enjoy reading technical magazines from the 80s.

In my opinion, the demise of most printed magazines had more to do with what you say in your post (their info becoming quickly out of date) than with the format itself or the advent of the Internet. I wouldn't buy a magazine to find out about the latest gadgets or shit like that. I want them to be as timeless as possible, so I can keep coming back to them.
