@coolboymew There is an Icelandic short film called _Nest_ about some siblings (the director's children, actually) who build a house pretty similar to that, but much less overengineered.
Now I wonder if building houses above the ground like that is a thing and what is the reason for it.
@josemanuel Common for fishing houses, because of the tide, however no clue for this

@coolboymew @josemanuel in crazy snowy areas people build houses on stilts so they don't get trapped inside by snowfall
