This is a real challenge. The inherent design of #PeerTube is that there is no centralized site like YouTube or app like TikTok. You can go to tilvids.com and we have creators there, but not ALL creators. You have to go to InstanceX to find this creator or InstanceY to find that creator. That means creators essentially have to leverage something like Mastodon to gain a following.

That's why with TILvids, I'm trying to create a ring of creators that can hopefully promote each other.

@tilvids Sorry for the Marxist terminology, but I've always been of the opinion that creators should seize the means of production by joining together on an instance where they can share costs and resources.

I'm talking about hiring someone to create a plugin that allows them to add ads to videos and at least one professional editor.

IMHO, TILvids is a very good starting point, but more could, and should, be done to make a sustainable platform for creators and by creators.

I think most instances lack a sense of purpose, and that's a shame.
