@StefanThinks Either you tried to buy women's clothes (not judging) or elegant, one-time ones (i.e., suits for weddings, royal receptions, _Neujahrkonzerten_, etc.).

This kind of clothes don't have pockets because if you were to carry anything in them, they would lose their shape and that is considered _not_ elegant. Also, in certain social situations you're not supposed to walk around with your hands in your pockets.
