#Mastodon (and #Fediverse in general) needs a way to verify the integrity of each post. Admins should not be able to manipulate posts by editing the database entry without being noticed.

@hirad My point was that, the way your worded your complaint (which is fair and correct), it seemed like it was just a Fediverse problem when it is universal.
Anyway, I guess posts could be signed, but how and by whom? And who should verify them, and how? How much would that cost in terms of resources?
