A few days ago, I made a tongue-in-cheek comment in the forum on LQ about the behaviour of some regulars being suspiciously similar to that of Jia Tan towards the xz maintainer. Some people took it seriously and I had to clear out the misunderstanding.

But, to be honest, I was only half-joking. The people I was referring to were pushy and dismissive of others' ideas and opinions. They still are.

The thing is, I was reading the forum today and saw them gatekeeping like they owned the place (“If you don't like Slackware as it is, you don't have to use it.” Dude, you never liked it as it was. You've been pushing for your own agenda for years), and I thought that maybe I was on to something.
